Caption is a brief description, heading or title
that identifies or introduces a document,
graphic, photograph or table.(Caption adalah gambaran singkat, tajuk atau judul yang mengdentifikasi atau memperkenalkan suatu dokumen.)

The characteristics of a good captions are:
1. The caption can identify the subject of the picture clearly.
2. The caption must be expressed clearly band briefly.
3. The caption must be relevant to the picture.
4. The caption provides the context for the picture.

Structure of Captions
Captions may consist of a few words of description, or several sentences.
There are various ways to begin the caption such as;
- Prepositional phrases
- Infinitive sentences
- Adjective phrase
- Question
- Exclamation
Languange Feature of Captions
a. Use Present Tense to describe action in a picture or photo.
b. Do not begin the caption with a, an, or the

d. Do not use "above" or "pictured here"
e. Do not begin the caption with the names. The name of people can be mentioned if they are
